About the Program

The CFFCS ran this campaign in 2017 and 2018 to help address the need for vulnerable students to receive school supplies and healthy snacks that would kickstart their school year in a positive direction.

Our Objective 

Our goal in this campaign is to provide 60 students with new backpacks, filled with school supplies as well as healthy snacks to give them the same equal opportunity to succeed in school as every other student.

Implementation

We are asking for the school faculty to actively participate by helping identify the students that are less fortunate and help present these packs to those students. 

We will be also looking to the public and private businesses to help us reach our goal of providing 60 students with these new backpacks. We are partnering with Noura Homes and Staples Coquitlam to support our public campaign. 

• Public can "sponsor" a student by donating the cost of a full backpack ($30)
• Shopping list provided to public to purchase individual items to fill backpacks
• Donations made to help purchase the goods
• Sponsorship will help front the money to purchase the  backpacks
